YRYC’s First Clinic: Navigation

On January 24, the York River Yacht Club hosted a “Navigation Seminar”. The class was open to the public and 23 people attended. GT Alexander was the instructor and covered Navigation Charts, Navigation Aids, Navigation Tools, Plotting, DR Navigation, Position Fixes, Wind, Current, and Tides.

one for all members
one for racers
one for board members

The last one is by invitation only. If you would like to be added to one of the other two, go to: http://yryc.org/cgi/dada/mail.cgi Pick the mailing list you want to be added to, enter your email address and click Submit Your Information. You will receive a confirmation message that you have been added.

So, if you’re curious about what’s happening, or need a detail about a meeting, cruise, etc you should be able to find it there. Also, watch this space for further developments. We will likely be getting our own domain sometime during the Summer, something like yryc.org.
