Get Ready for Racing Season!

Hopefully the worst of the winter is over and we can start getting our boats ready for the racing season.  Attached below is a link to a copy of the YRYC 2018 Race Rules & Guidelines  for download and review. 

As introduced at the Awards Bean Dinner last November, there are some significant changes to the Wednesday Night Racing Program for 2018.  So racers will have plenty of time to digest them before the season starts. 

A summary of changes as listed in the table below.

  • Registration pizza dinner: Wednesday March 28, 6:30pm at the YRYH Activities Room
  • Racing Seminar: April 7

Yellow Fleet spinnaker-optional for Thursday night make-up races

Minimum Race Requirements and Time Limit Only two boats required to race
Throw-Outs Adjusted for increased number of races per series
RC Instructions: Record Finish Times Boat finishes when any part of her hull crosses the line
