Single Handed Race – A long-standing tradition at YRYC!
YRYC will host the annual Single Handed Race on Saturday, July 28, 2018.
Only one person is permitted aboard the boat. Electronic autopilots may not be used during the race. Participants are required to wear an approved PFD at all times during the race. This will be a non-spinnaker race (single headsail).
Race entry is included with YRYC Wednesday Night Race registration. Boats not registered for the Wednesday Night Races may compete by registering with the YRYC Race Captain by 8pm Friday July 27th via email to racecaptain@yryc.org
Race will be started in accordance with Rule 26. Race course will start between orange flag on the RC boat and York River R “22”. The course will be selected from the Summer Series Wednesday Night race courses as described in YRYC Race Rules & Guidelines 2018.
